Dear Fellow Readers, Family and Friends,
Today is Sunday, February 1st, 2009. Today is the day when the Cardinals will hopefully win the Superbowl. Today is the day where I slept in too late to go to church. Whoops. Whatever.
I have decided that I should give a few updates on how my life is. I haven't posted here in quite some time.
I have been cast in the musical, Smokey Joe's Cafe. We will perform that in the Lehi Arts Center come beginning of April. Smokey Joe's Cafe is not a musical with a story line. It is a basic review of awesome music from our nations past. The show was originally written for like 10 black people and there is not one person who has skin a shade darker than my left foot...which is white. (That was a weird analogy). So, we all have to learn how to sing from our soul. We have to let go of ALL of our inhibitions with singing and just...do it. This play is going to be a huge stretch for me. I am excited that I was cast because I am able to work and practice on my talents and become a better performer and person.
I have officially signed the paperwork to become a technician for APX Alarm. I will be installing alarm systems, not selling them; although I do have that option. I don't know where I will be going yet, but the word on the street is that I will be going to Boston. That would be awesome. That means I could also go to New York over the summer. It's going to be a very hard summer full of work, but also good money. With this job, if all goes well, I will be able to pay off my car in full and start to pay off my student loans. I know that there are horror stories of people who worked for APX, but I have been working with them for over a year now, and I haven't had any trouble.
School is going fine for me. I have all A's right now. I tend to keep it that way this semester.
I am applying for the Media Arts Major this semester. I have to write a few things and submit a short film. My short film will be a documentary entitled, "If I Were President". This short will showcase childrens points of view on how they view this important role in society. They will draw, tell, and show me what they would do if they were president. I hope to get some witty responses, but I also hope to get those responses that come from innocent children who seem to always know the easiest solutions to problems. My short can only be 3 minutes long...yeah. It's gonna be hard.
All in all, life is going good right now. I love what I am doing and I love being who I am. And I love all of you. Thanks for all the love and support that I get from you!
