Well, I have noticed that pretty much all my latest blog posts have been kinda of lame and deep. I mean, I like to think deeply, I think I get a lot of that from my Dad. But, this post, I hope will just be a regular one, and not a deep one. I don't even know what I am saying. So...yeah.
If you all didn't know already, I was cast in Smokey Joe's Cafe. The rehearsal process is going really good. We had a cast member quit on us because of family issues, and we got our replacement last week. His name is Patrick. He's a great singer. I think we're going to be able to move forward without any drawbacks from losing a cast member. We still have yet to find all members of the band, but...that's not our job; it's the directors job. I think we're going to be fine. I am learning a lot and growing as a person, so I am excited to be a part of this project.
School is going well for me. I skip a lot. I don't know why. A lot of classes that I have this semester are lecture classes so they never take attendance, but I'm not learning valuable information...whatever. I went to talk with my faculty advisor and I found out that if I am accepted into the film program at BYU, I will be graduating in April 2012. That's a long way away. So...yeah. I'm not too worried about this semester. I mean, I will be taking 14-16 credit hours EVERY semester from this point forward if I get accepted into the program. I will be extremely busy. I also wanted to do some study abroad, but I guess that is out of the question. I just had no idea that to actually graduate from college that it took time and effort! :)
Working at APX right now is turning out to be a great experience. They had to let a lot of people go a few weeks ago. They said that it's not because of the recession, but I think it still is. Whatever the reason, I am extremely grateful that I still have my job. Also, I have found out that I will be going to Portland, Oregon this summer to install security systems. Best part is, no hardwire systems are allowed in Oregon, AND all systems come pre-programmed...that means installations will take hours less. That means more money. Yay.
Other than that, I have been doing great. I went to church today, like most weeks, and it was a good experience. Love you all!

You may be able to do study abroad during the summer semesters, or I know SUU offered a student exchange program. You pay your regular tuition, but you study at a foreign school. Maybe you wouldn't be behind if you could do something like that - and maybe study theatre somewhere cool, like London. That would be totall sweet.
In my opinion, study abroad is worth the delay in school. The experience is invaluable, kind of like going on a mission. My semester teaching English in China put me back about 2 semesters (since I missed "spring only" classes), but I wouldn't trade that experience for anything in the whole world. It was beyond amazing.
Dear Andy: Millionaires are made by hard work and being smart with money. You've got a great start.
Deep thinking is good to exercise your brain but it can slow up your work..../// Write your goals down and think about those.
You probably still have your job because you're not afraid to work. Go for broke!
Stop skipping classes and buckle down. TRY TO STAY AS BUSY AS POSSIBLE AND YOU WILL BE HAPPIER. The old adage is true, "if you want something done, give it to the busy person." The busy people get rewarded with good jobs and more money.
Stay focused. Work hard. Play Hard. Make good choices. Love Dad.
