it has been a long time since I have written in my blog. Its been a while, and that's okay. I have been busy with basically everything, and I don't think it's going to slow down one bit from here on out. If I get accepted to the film program...the things that I have to do will just be piled onto my shoulders.
So, the musical is going very well. We opened this past Friday and got a standing ovation and great reviews. The audience loved it! It's such a great play and opportunity to get out there and share my talents with others. I always used to tell mom that I wanted to move to Utah so I could do the things that I really love, and now, I am doing them. I have grown so much as a performer in this show. My talent has improved and I just love doing what I do. We are still open for one more week. Come see it!
Also, today is Sunday. I like these days. They are truly the only day out of the week that I have time to catch my breath and slow down for a bit. It's nice. I mean, it really is a day of rest. I just wish more people had the chance to slow down once a week. Most places are open 24/7 these days.
I have been reading my scriptures with more fervor and with more zeal. I am enjoying them more and have found that I have better days when I read them. Of course, I always knew this, especially being a returned missionary. But now, one and half year later from returning from the beautiful country of Portugal, I know that it is a constant struggle to keep the Spirit with me always.
I am so excited to see the new movie, "Where the Wild Things Are". My older sister thinks that it has major flopping potential. While that may be true, I think it has much more potential to be one of those stories that get into our hearts and tug at its strings. It seems to me that they are trying to focus on those moments in our childhood and adulthood when we just want to run away. When we just want to get away from it all and be truly appreciated and loved. If that is what they are trying to do with "Where the Wild Things Are" then I think it will be a great movie. It will be something both children and adults alike will enjoy.
I am also excited for the movie "Up" by Pixar. It looks pretty frackin' amazing.
Last week, I finally finished everything for my film application. The only thing left to do was to have an interview with the entire film faculty. It was a good experience. I think I let them see who I am, while at the same time, being professional. I also had a "moment" with Prof. Dean Duncan, one prestigious filmmaker at BYU. I was explaining to the faculty the most rewarding non-film job that taught me the most and I told them it was working at Mr. G's Pizza and Subs in Joseph City, Arizona. I told them that I had to manage the store at times, learn how to run the cashier, the other employees and make pizza at the same time. Mr. Duncan said, "Oh, so...sort of like the Krusty Krab?" And I chuckled and said, "Sort of like that. But I'm not a sponge." He laughed and I think three other faculty members laughed. But then when I was leaving, one of the laughing faculty said to everyone, "Did you all get that Spongebob reference?" So...I had a moment with the faculty. And even though it didn't have anything to do with filmmaking, it was still a good moment where they saw who I am.
So there you have it. A vomit of topics. This blog is kinda like an update thing. Its for my family, mostly, so they'll know what the Hecks is going on with my life. I wish you could all come see my show, it would be awesome, but this economic whatever it is that we're in is kinda crappy, so...whatever. You'll all definitely get the chance to see my movies on the big screen what that happens.

I think that this is more like a parfait of topics. Or, a waterfall of topics. Or, a herd of topics. Or, a caleidascope of topics. Or, a hodgepodge of topics. Or, a variety of topics................
